Quantum Dot Technology: Explanation
This is the review for a old tech which was introduced in CES 2015 and it is called Quantum Dot Technology.

QUANTUM DOT:

Quantum dot technology in TVs you haven't heard of it ?  that's ok , I'm gonna break it down for you. So just like the name  Isn't really all that and it's essentially just an improved back lighting technology so that the LED and LCD TVs we have now, the back light is this pure white light that can shine through the white light isn't just red green and blue white light is red green blue and yellow, some purples, some other colors and that needs to be filtered before it goes through as RGB pixels and that filtering will take a little bit of light a little bit of vividness but quantum dot back lighting promises it does not need that filtering so it will shine pure red green and blue light through and it appeared to be pure white but it won't require any of that filtering that an LED or LCD back light does not make it a little bit Brighter Image and a much more efficient pictures. So of course I just take a look at the show floor at CES in 2015 and I found Samsung's newest UHDS TVs these are all quantum dot TVs and it made big bold claims about showing a wider color spectrum(range of colors) and being much brighter and much more efficient and technically these claims are correct though you might not able to see the main difference with normal content or games unless you have it side-by-side with a normal LCD back lit TV. But these quantum dot smart TVs look good nevertheless don't get me wrong not perfect or anything but definitely very bright and very Vivid but it's still no OLED display.

OLED:

You can definitely tell when something is a  OLED display OLED panels like we seen a lot of TVs  and also a lot of phones don't require any back lighting at all and also all the individual pixels are creating their own light is not as bright as a back light but it's also a little bit more efficient because when you want to create black you just don't light the pixel at all and that creates these super dark Inky blacks and awesome contrast ratios it's beautiful and it's the future of Television. So we have OLED displays already in a lot of our smartphones, will we ever see quantum dot displays in our smartphones to, in my opinion i would say yes and no at the same time but it makes perfect sense  it's more efficient than LCDs and it would be great for battery life and to its much brighter because of the lack of filtration which means outdoor visibility will be much better and that's where we use our phones anyway it's just a matter of getting a technology small enough to fit in a smartphone and in our pockets.

So essentially this is it Quantum Dot is what's going to start showing up on TV boxes and adverts in a Best Buy near you in near future it's not something super insane like the name might imply it's some Physics trick but is it legit absolutely and really it legitimately allows for brighter and more efficient display panels thanks to improved back lighting.
Is this technology new??? you actually know the idea has been around since the 1990s but for the past two years there have been quantum dot back lit display available on the market they are just now getting that fancy branding and SUHD sticker from Samsung.
Thanks for reading , Ihope you like it , Quantum Dot Technology.
