Recently rather than focusing on premium devices manufacturers are aiming to provide smartphones with best value for money and Xiaomi is well known brand with incredible specs to price ratio .
Today review is on Xiaomi Mi Max , the one i have is 32 gigabyte variant with 3 gigabytes of RAM but Xiaomi is also offering 64 and 128 gigabyte of storage with 4 gigabyte of RAM . Whwn we open the box we get the device it self , a charger , a cable, sim ejection tool and some paper work but no earphone like th last model.
The phone itself is very huge and it comes with 6.44 IPS LCD display protected with gorilla glass 4 , it feels really good in hand , as its a big device so single handed use is pretty much difficult. The unibody metal design with chamfered edges does give it a premium feel. Its incredibly slim with just 7.5 mm thin and fairly light weight for the size. Under the metallic body it is powered by snapdragon 650 chipset , adreno 510 Gpu with 3 gigs of RAM and a large 4850 milli amp hour battery which can get you through the day very easily. Now coming to the back it does seems like stretched out version of xiaomi redmi note 3 and the gold color is really awesome and cool.
We have a 16 megapixel camera with dual tone LED flash the fingerprint sensor and the mi logo branding at the back. The finger print scanner is fast and snappy just like redmi note 3 and the camera performance is mediocre and not so impressive. The default camera helps with a range of shooting modes and yo also have manual control with recording capability.
To the front we have sensors and the 5 megapixel camera , the front camera does produce pretty much good selfies under good lightning conditins though. We have also back lit capacitive touch buttons at the bottom of the big screen. The screen is bright and sharp and has good sunlight visibility. At the bottom there is a primary microphone to the left and speaker at the right and in between we have the charging micro USB port. The buttons are decently alligned with th body with good tactile feel which also feel good when pressed.The hybrid dual sim slot is kept on the left, you can sim and a micro SD card upto 256 gigabytes if you want extra storage. At the top we have 3.5 millimeter headphone jack with the IR blaster to control the home appliances and the secondry noise cancelling microphone.
As for software, it is running android marshmallow like other high end phone now a days .
