Initially this hit shelves and door steps in november 2015. I have been using this beast for quiet a while  and Iam  going to tackle whether it's just an incremental step toward consumer virtual reality or is the future is here, a bit early if you're intrigued by this device first question you have to ask yourself is, what am I going to use it, for if you want an immersive experience playing games watching videos  and viewing photos the new gear VR is right up your alley. The key for this release of the content that's available right away so it might be things you haven't done before some are better enhancements for things are already doing both are pretty impressive and cool. For Example , will you experience Netflix and chill, Hulu and hang, climb mountains Landscapes ,jetpack around the 3D rendered City, float around in space,  solve a murder mystery or watching NBA game from Courtside. It's all there waiting for you to try out the Oculus store.<br /> The new gear VR is 8.62 pounds heavy , feels much lighter  than its predecessor which weight around two pounds since it's lighter and has a bit more cushion for your face to rest on it doesn't feel like you're earing  a huge pair of obnoxious goggles, people who wear glasses so there is extra room and spongyness is appreciated. With VR(VirtualReality) having a really big year and 360 degree video having a really big year and you could argue that the features in smartphones over the past couple years have slowed down a little bit, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see a bunch of smartphones in the next one or two years that have dual cameras on the back. A lot of times you couldn’t  even tell if it was really even using that depth information. Now in 2016 we have smartphones like the LG G5 and the Huawei P9, from the too manufactures that happened to work with Google on a smartphone last year this G5 has a regular 16 megapixel camera on the back with a regular field of view but then right  next to the laser autofocus is an additional camera a super wide-angle 135-degree  8-megapixel camera for those crazy super wide shot ,so you can switch between them on the fly if you want to, so they don't really work together to add information to one image but it can be pretty fun to play with this super wide angle travel like a GoPro camera a lot of times we can get these cool Landscapes or architecture is in the city.<o:p></o:p><br /> <div class="MsoNormal"> The Huawei P9 is the same deal primary camera and secondary the primary is a regular RGB sensor and the secondary camera is a monochrome sensor so it's like a black and white camera but because it's less color information it can do additional detail and sharpness and dynamic range and it'll take that image information and use software to stitch it together with the original RGB image to create a much better-looking original photo, now why  smartphones have dual cameras on the back it's just sort of mix and match ,do whatever you want with it so I was expecting Apple to probably have an iPhone 7 or 7 Pro or something like that with maybe 2 camera lenses on the back but we don't know what Apple would be doing with that ,we don't know if it would be maybe two identical image sensors doing stereoscopic 3D or would they be like a primary secondary type of thing or the secondary one will pick up additional color information or light values we just don't know who we do know is it's a feature and it's not really quite up to its full potential right now in smartphones. Or something else related to the VR we see all these 360 degree videos all the time now on Facebook and on YouTube obviously having a smartphone I can capture 360 degrees without an extra  accessory that you have to carry around would be pretty cool but again this is wishful thinking .<o:p></o:p></div> <br /> <div class="MsoNormal"> I hope you guys liked this review.<o:p></o:p></div>
